Transition Year Forensic Workshop: Our Transition Years completed a Forensic Science workshop where they worked together to try to solve the historic case of JFK’s assassination. The students used analytical & critical thinking skills. Students explored Ballistics gunshot residue (GSR), photographic analysis, fingerprints, autopsy & the main theories / links with history. They thoroughly enjoyed this workshop.
Coding: Agnes Martin has again reached the Scratch National Finals, to be held in University of Limerick on Wednesday 10th May, 2023. This is Agnes's third time to reach the finals. She has been placed 2nd and last year as you know she came 1st.
SUSI and CAO Talk : Ms Allen will be giving a SUSI and CAO to interested 6th Years in the Sports Hall at 10 05am this Thursday. This is a vital talk for all the 6th years to get a better understanding of the SUSI grant system and the CAO points offers.
Transition Year Trip : The transition year group enjoyed their end of year trip to Causey Farm , this trip is always a highlight of the year with the students getting back to basics making homemade brown bread , meeting the farm animals and of course the ever popular bog jumping.
5th Year Politics: Our 5th year politics class along with their teachers enjoyed a trip to Leinster house on Tuesday. They met with T.D Emer Higgins who spoke to the students about their plans for the future and she enquired as to the progress of the new school building. We would like to thank Emer Higgins for inviting our class to Leinster house for this wonderful experience

4A4 Bake Sale: Well done to 4A4 who held a bake sale on Tuesday at lunchtime , all proceeds went to the Children’s Health Foundation. Well done to everyone involved.
1st Year Garden Party : St. Joseph’s Parents’ Association is pleased to invite you to a First Year Social Tea Party on the 12th of May from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. This will be a social occasion, where you can come along and meet other First Year parents and enjoy some chat and refreshments. We would be delighted if you could offer your culinary skills and offer to bake or bring along some small treats for all to enjoy!
