Transition Year Song Writing Workshop: A number of our transition year students took part in a song writing workshop. During the Workshop the students wrote an original song and then shot a video on location to go with it. The students first came up with ideas for lyrics and then put a melody to that. The audio was then recorded and the students used a Storyboard to plan out the video. The scenes were recorded and the audio was aligned with the video. We look forward to seeing “ No Man’s Land” at TY Graduation.

Junior Hockey Team: Well done to our Junior Hockey team who had a great victory in their second match of the year. The girls played away to Raheny and had a fantastic 4-0 victory. Well done to everyone it was a great team effort.

First Year Parent Teacher Meeting: We held our first-year parent teacher meeting on Tuesday evening via zoom, it was great to connect with the first-year parents to discuss the progression of our first-year students.

Transition Year Subject Options: we ran a very successful Transition year subject options talk last week with each choice subject presenting for a 20-minute slot to give the students a better understanding to what their course entail s for the leaving certificate. This is vital for the students in relation to choosing their subjects going into leaving certificate. We also held a subject options webinar for the transition year parents on Tuesday night via zoom.

Concern debating: Well done to our senior concern debating team who took part in their last 16 debate on Monday night against Scoil Dara, Kilcock. Mr. Smyth was very proud of his team and we should know the judge’s verdict by the end of this week.
