3rd Year CSPE project for Alone Ireland

3rd Year CSPE project for Alone Ireland
As part of their CSPE action project, the students of 3a3 learnt about the difficulties experienced by older members of our community.
They created a series of posters which they hung around the school highlighting economic and health problems which are a daily reality for many older people.
They also researched and created a set of resources which can be shown to other students of the school and used by teachers and students alike to rise awareness.
They baked and ran their own very successful bake sale raising €320.64 for the charity Alone Ireland.
Yesterday, following a talk from Laura Hanlon from Alone Ireland, they presented Laura with the cheque.
Alone Ireland have requested that as a class, we email Alone, detailing which of their multiple programmes, they would like their funds to go toward. These programmes include housing, technology, befriending and social events.
The girls will feature on the Alone website. Their spirit of hard work and selflessness has resulted in them creating a real difference into their community.
Well done girls!!
